Pin Design Contest!

Design Contest

Objective: To create a well-planned and designed shirt to be worn at the International Career Development Conference. The shirt should serve as a source of pride for our state.

The winner will receive a $50 credit toward the International Career Development Conference registration fee.

  1. Submitter/designer must be a paid Vermont DECA member.

  2. Design text must include “Vermont,” “VT," and/or the state outline.

  3. Must represent logo or include text “DECA.” The official Vermont DECA logo may be used. Please see your advisor for the files.

  4. Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 22, 2019. Submit an electronic copy to the state advisor via the form on the web page below. Please be sure to keep your original high-resolution file in case it needs editing!

  5. Design shall be computer-generated or hand-drawn and scanned for submission.

  6. For submissions to be valid, the specified design must be complete. Therefore, all designs should incorporate color.

  7. School mascots, logos, or individual people may not be specifically incorporated in design.

  8. All entries should be clear and simple in design. A lot of detail does not reproduce well. However, they should also be attention-grabbing and show originality and creativity.

  9. Be sure there is no copyright infringement.

  10. Please include a brief (1-2 sentences) explanation about your design with your submission.

  • T-shirt designs will be voted on at the VT State Career Development Conference in February. State Officers and Vermont DECA Advisors will have final say in shirt selection.

  • Prior to graphics publisher submission, we shall reserve the right to modify or create a composite of multiple designs.

  • Winning design will be awarded at the state conference.

Design shall be judged anonymously. Your name and chapter will NOT be associated with the design while it is being judged.
