Vermont DECA
Pin Design Contest!
VT DECA Pin Design Contest
Objective: To create a well-planned and designed pin to be traded at the International Career Development Conference. The pin should serve as a source of pride for our state. It should generate interest and “demand” by those trading.
The winner will receive a $50 credit toward the International Career Development Conference registration fee.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Submitter/designer must be a Vermont DECA member.
-
Design text must include “Vermont,” “VT," and/or the state outline.
-
Must represent logo or include text “DECA.” The official Vermont DECA logo may be used. Please see your advisor for the files.
-
Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 7, 2020. Submit an electronic copy to the state advisor via the form on the VT DECA web page or email to vtdecactso@gmail.com. Please be sure to keep your original high-resolution file in case it needs editing!
-
Design shall be computer-generated or hand-drawn and scanned for submission.
-
For submissions to be valid, the specified design must be complete. Therefore, all designs should incorporate color.
-
School mascots, logos, or individual people may not be specifically incorporated in design.
-
Remember that ICDC will be in Nashville, TN this year. You may incorporate a Nashville theme in your design as well, but it’s not required.
-
All entries should be clear and simple in design. A lot of detail does not reproduce well. However, they should also be attention-grabbing and show originality and creativity.
-
Be sure there is no copyright infringement.
-
Please include a brief (1-2 sentences) explanation with your submission.
-
Pin designs will be voted on at the VT State Career Development Conference in February. State Officers and Vermont DECA Advisors will have final say in pin selection.
-
Prior to graphics publisher submission, we shall reserve the right to modify or create a composite of multiple designs.
-
Winning design will be awarded at the state conference.
-
Design shall be judged anonymously. Your name and chapter will NOT be associated with the design while it is being judged.
